Running the EasyBook Demo
EasyBook was specifically designed to be used without a mouse so it might be a good idea to put the mouse out of reach now.
Run the program from the desktop icon and using the word DEMO for both name and password. What you’ll see depends on your screen settings but a normal resolution of 1024 x 768 should be ok.
Using the Simulation
The simulator runs by default but you can turn it off or on at any time by holding down the Ctrl key then pressing the S key. There may be several initial warnings about cars not completing their last job but just ignore these.
The simulated cars can’t bid for work and just like real life they’ll never be where you want them to be. So your task as a dispatcher is to work alongside the auto dispatcher and deal with any jobs that are running late.
To manually dispatch a job, highlight the job with the blue cursor, enter the car number then hit the plus key. With this may cars you shouldn’t have to do very much but if it starts to get too busy then just delete a few jobs by pressing delete followed by the letter Y.
