The price we quote is for us to come into an empty office and leave you with a fully working system.
Existing Systems
If you already have a system, then it may be possible to utilize some or all of your existing equipment providing it’s reasonably new and using the current Windows Professional operating system.
Where this is the case, we would adjust our prices accordingly.
Consideration needs to be given to the age of the machines as reliability reduces with age. Older machines can certainly be utilised in none critical areas such as booking stations but for the main dispatch machine, we would always recommend fitting new.
While EasyBook will not work with other companies' data units, it will however work with existing PDAs running on Windows Mobile version 6 or later. You will not need to change your service provider.
We can sometimes extract your existing database however, several companies still use old database engines that either don’t translate or have co-ordinate information missing. Our Microsoft database is easy to edit and maintain so this is never a major issue.
Using your own PCs
We would never install our products on any machine other than from a major manufacturer and even then there may be compatibility issues that can prove difficult and time consuming to resolve.
As a company, we are not prepared to risk our name and reputation for the sake of the sums involved. Bear in mind we don’t make any profit from the sale of hardware, we just want to ensure you have the same as everyone else.
Laptops
Given the prices of laptops these days, we’re often asked if these can be used with EasyBook. The answer is yes although we would never recommend this approach due to the keyboard limitations and the and relatively short life expectancy of such equipment in a taxi office.
